چکیده

Background: Badminton being one of the most popular and fastest racket sport, demands players to have different skills fitness level in-order excel. Skills like power, agility, speed, dynamic balance reaction time are few them. Aim: This study aims compare effect plyometric exercises versus speed agility quickness (SAQ) training on in badminton players. Methods: An experimental was conducted 36 amateur player who were divided 3 groups with 12 participants each - Plyometric group, SAQ group control group. All received intervention for 6 weeks. The outcome measures used a) agility- Illinois test, b) speed- 30 meters’ sprint c) power- vertical jump d) balance- modified star excursion test e) Reaction time- simple visual task. Statistical analysis: analysis performed using SPSS software, version 24. Paired t pre-post differences Intergroup comparison evaluated ANOVA test. Results: showed a significant improvement posterolateral posteromedial directions paired Speed Agility Quickness revealed difference all three In seen only anterior There between power Further post hoc that no statistically when compared other except which more Conclusion: Both equally effective improving Power be improved Hence, these protocols can as evidence-based approach improve optimal performance.
